you simply CANT have that big of a lateral move to the left if you stack and tilt.

Sure thing assbag, I mean it’s your internet isn’t it? Idiot troll, take your ball and go home.

the move is the start of the downswing, the right leg stays while there is a lateral move with the left leg, then it holds it’s position and the right knee drops into where the left knee was, therefore his right side has full access to the target. The way Hogan describes it is the lower body rotating, often misinterpreted as a spin,Hogan may not have felt a left lateral move,as it is subtle but is really the whole trigger to starting the down swing.Jim flick describes this in a golf channal lesson.

do you even know what a real stack and tilt is and that it NEEDS weight transfer, ?
Each golfer has his swing, different rhythm, tonicity, strength, leverage, transition, release, tempo, attack angle, but NO ONE can achieve greater distance with consistency without following strict and basic bio-dynamic principles.
the human being is not meant to be comfortable playing golf, and stack and tilt, even though sometimes useful for inverted pivot swingers, allowing consistency, will never be optimal

One day Hogan was hitting practice balls off the tee. His caddy was catching them. Another golfer told Hogan he could help him with that nasty hook. Hogan replied: “Do you see the caddy moving?”

Leadbetter describes it in his original book, too–actually sees it as a move of the left knee out to the _right_ of the target for a brief moment, because of the body’s alignment at the top, and then around to the left from there, in a miniature turning motion of its own. If you watch the swings of the best players, it’s an apt description.

hold an equalizer wedge on flat surface at address and let it roll back on hosel while maintaining lie angle in shaft. The club will roll back on hosel with grooves level. Keeping the grooves level and monitoring shaft rotation in relation to plane with a line laser will enable you to learn to trap the ball. Rotate laser to left a few degress (left of target line) for a fade

oops, forgot to mention, glue a line level on face, line laser rotate to left at address, then keep laser line on target line for the fade (added explanation for more clarity)

Awesome clip. I have a question for you advanced golfers.I just started playing about 3 months ago and I have taken no lessons but these are the things I go by and I want you guys to help me out: I play the ball closer to my rear foot, I try to keep my front arm as straight as possible, I try to look only at the ball when I swing, I have a huge problem with my stance and always slice if I don’t keep an open stance, HELP ME, I love golf already
May 12th, 2009 at 4:25 AM
Hi, I’m a 6 handicap. Hope this helps. Straight left arm & eye on the ball – good. Ball position nearer your rear foot … not good. On balance you’re doing more right than wrong, so that’s good. The likely reason you are slicing the ball is because you have the ball too far back in your stance.
For longest club, ball opposite the heel of your front foot. For shorter clubs, have the ball opposite the middle of your stance. John

How can i get more height in my drives ? Kyle
May 12th, 2009 at 6:35 AM
Hi, there could be a few reasons why your drives fly low. A 30 min session with your local pro could save you a lot of time & frustration on this one. John
